An event eagerly awaited by the public and the trade press: on December 8, 1982, Mercedes-Benz presented the W201, which was marketed as the 190 saloon and can undoubtedly be counted among the most successful models in the history of Mercedes-Benz. Compact dimensions, low weight and increased economy without losing sight of factors such as driving characteristics, safety and reliability: The successful compact saloon set standards and, as the Type 190 and 190 E, added another main line to the traditional Mercedes-Benz passenger car range. While the Type 190 was powered by a carburettor engine, which was optimized by reducing the size of the intake and exhaust ports andand the use of a new camshaft and modified valves from 109 hp to 90 hp, the 190 E used a newly developed variant with fuel injection. The precision model of the top-of-the-range 190 E is modeled on the original in the greatest detail and enriches any collection. The model car is not only painted in the authentic color, but also impresses with a detailed representation of the interior. The doors, hood and tailgate of the model can be opened, allowing you to look inside the car. The miniature model is supplied in Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging, which includes a screwdriver for easy removal and a glove to protect against fingerprints on the glazing and bodywork.
