DescriptionSporty, light, short (SLK) - first presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1996, the SLK 200 Roadster R170 describes a real success story that continued into 2004 with the model update and was replaced by the SLK of the R171 series. With this model, the engineers developed a car that differed from other roadsters in this class in many respects and impressed in terms of safety, comfort, environmental compatibility and suitability for everyday use. The most striking feature of the roadster was undoubtedly the Vario roof, a steel roof that could be lowered completely into the trunk - in just 25 seconds and without compromising the rigidity and strength of the car. And nothing was left to chance when it came to the SLK Roadster's equipment: from the power steering and light-alloy wheels to the sports seats and the nostalgic round instruments in the cockpit, which were reminiscent of the equipment in old racing cars. Another special feature: the interior of the SLK Roadster was designed in two colors for the first time. You can also expect this attention to detail in the miniature model of the Roadster, which has been hand-assembled from over 109 individual parts and painted in an authentic color. The precision model also impresses with its faithful reproduction of all interior details in the high-quality decorated interior. The doors, hood and tailgate can be opened. To enable you to remove the roadster from the Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging, you will also find a screwdriver and a glove to loosen the screws in the polystyrene packaging and to be able to touch the model while protecting it from fingerprints.
