The "new generation" of the W 114/W 115 was presented in 1968 and enjoyed great popularity. Originally, the model range of the internally named W 114/W 115 series comprised six models, ranging from the 200 D with a 55 hp four-cylinder diesel engine to the 250 with a 130 hp six-cylinder carburetor engine. The latter's double bumper quickly distinguished it visually from its simpler brothers. Even today, the "new generation" is popularly known as the "Stroke Eight" and also cuts a fine figure as a miniature model on an international collector's scale of 1:18. Nothing has been left to chance in the design of the precision model, which is assembled by hand from over 120 individual parts. For example, the model is painted in an authentic color and equipped with a high-quality decorated and flocked interior, in which all details are true to the original. Six parts of the model - doors, hood and tailgate - can also be opened. It is not without reason that the Mercedes-Benz Classic packaging includes a screwdriver and a glove, which can be used to loosen and remove the classic car without leaving fingerprints on the glazing or the painted bodywork.
